National Aboriginal Hockey Championships (NAHC)

The ASC established the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in 2002 to serve as the premiere competition for young Aboriginal hockey players in Canada. It provides a forum for elite Bantam/Midget aged Aboriginal male and female youth and attracts participation from First Nation, Inuit and Metis across thirteen provinces and territories. This annual event helps foster cultural unity and pride to celebrate the athletic abilities of Aboriginal athletes from across the country.

Announcement

On March 12, 2020, the ASC was advised of Hockey Canada's cancellation of all sanctioned events until further notice. As a result, the ASC has announced the cancellation of the NAHC championships from May 9-16, 2020 in Regina, SK.

The ASC Hockey Committee has closely monitored the unprecedented events associated with the COVID-19 global pandemic and supports the decision of Hockey Canada to focus on measures to protect the safety and wellbeing of all.

The ASC shares the disappointment felt by the athletes, coaches, volunteers and organizers who have spent countless hours focusing and preparing for the championships.

We will post more information as it is available. Please check back.
