Aboriginal Sport Circle Launches Indigenous Creative Roster

OTTAWA (August 10, 2026) - The Aboriginal Sport Circle (ASC) is inviting Indigenous creatives from across Canada to join its new indigenous Creative Roster, an initiative designed to connect talented First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples with paid opportunities to support ASC events, programs and initiatives.

The roster will help ASC identify and collaborate with a diverse network of creatives whose work reflects the richness of Indigenous cultures, storytelling and artistic expression.

ASC is seeking submissions from a variety of creative disciplines, including:

• Emcees and hosts
• Musicians and singers
• Dancers
• DJs
• Spoken word artists
• Graphic artists and designers
• Visual artists
• Cultural performers
• Other creative individuals or groups

"As a national Indigenous sport organization, we know that sport and culture go hand in hand" says Jaclyn Guenette, Executive Director, Aboriginal Sport Circle. "Whether it's an emcee who helps tell the story of an event, a graphic artist who brings a campaign to life, or a performer who creates meaningful cultural connections, Indigenous creatives play an important role in how we celebrate and strengthen our communities."

The Indigenous Creative Roster will support opportunities across a wide range of ASC activities, including national events, conferences, celebrations, campaigns, artistic commissions and community initiatives. While opportunities will vary throughout the year, all engagements will be paid.

Individuals interested in joining the roster are invited to complete the online submission form and share information about their experience, creative practice and services.
